  Classic situation at Circuit Assembly Day

  so i've just skived off to the car park half way through our assembly day - what a classic morning.. i'm sat right behind an early-teen kid with some sort of special needs (autistic?

  ) who's sat with what looks like his late-30's harassed single parent mother.

  i have a 'financial advisor' email tell of massive changes coming to us (and thereby world currencies) on the above date.. does 13-dec 2017 mean anything to anyone.?.

  he is talking about the removal of cash etc now if this is half way correct where does it leave the money machine of the wt?.

  my dad was an elder my entire life and my sister a regular pioneer for most of my life, along with my mother.

  ill never forget being 4 years old and staring up at the stars outside and my dad leaning over to and saying "look what jehovah made for you".

  my response, "but how do you know god is real"?

  FT 2188, welcome. Your story is so sad and is a warning lesson to anyone who is studying with J.W.'s or is thinking about doing so.

  The WTBTS is an evil business corporation which uses religion as its cover. Their "religion" is run strictly along cult guidelines - total reverence & loyalty of the institution & its leader/s, unquestioning acceptance of everything they say, and willingness to give them your hard-earned cash.

  Have a great life with your son - be a survivor and not a victim. Be a witness against the org whenever you can.

  if you went to it, (or go later this week) how was it handled?

  just the video or some commentary too?.

  i have heard of a few negative comments from some that attended - one jw even openly said to me "not very encouraging, all they go on about is money lately" and another (a serving elder, no less) said "someone's got to pay for all those lawsuits".

  Unfortunately I'll be visiting "the only place of true-worship in the area" tonight as part of my abuse of the org! I was sent the following YouTube clip by a former elder who also acknowledges the WTBT's cult status.

  I truly look forward to hearing the sound of the wind and tumble-weeds rolling past in the K.H. as the Borg worshippers silently adopt glazed expressions at the non-stop money-grab.

  Why I constantly write letters to the Watchtower Society

  hi all.. for many years now, i have been writing letters to bethel in new york and london.

  i have also written to the charity commission, the bbc and more to highlight the harmful teachings and policies of the watchtower society.

  i realise that some may view this as futile and understand why they might feel this way,; especially considering the pharisaical stonewall-like attitude displayed by the leadership of watchtower.. some reasons i do so is because i feel that constructive criticism is essential in helping to bring about change.

  I would think that Bethel J.W.'s who are assigned to deal with correspondence will have been very carefully vetted and selected due to their absolute love and loyalty of the org, therefore virtually immune to any information which puts their golden calf in a bad light. But you never know, one future small crack in the building could magnify the previously ignored cracks - and bring the building down for someone.

  Is it better to have a false hope than have no hope?

  just got the news.

  a very close classmate of mine met an accident and died last nite.... just 4 months after i da'd from the borg.. if i am still in, i wouldn't be so sad.

  he has the hope of resurrection.. but now that i am out, i realise that resurrection in paradise is all bullshit.. so what's next?

  Sinboi, I know the pain you're feeling, and I'm sorry. The death of someone who was special to us causes pain and mental turmoil which at that very moment swallows us up in a darkness which is not "normal" to those who suffer. Whether we have faith in an all-powerful God and the promise of a resurrection, or we view such thinking as ludicrous, both camps should respect the other person's choice in what they believe or disbelieve. Personally, at the moment, I don't believe in alien visitations or abductions, but ridiculing people who do would say more about me than them. It is clear that Christians (not just J.W.'s)` get comfort at such times with verses like these: 1 Thessalonians 4:13,14 - "And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died." (New Living Translation) Non-believers have no such comfort - whether it's true or not.

  Who is "The" Creator ? Jehovah or Jesus ?

  is jehovah the creator ?.

  apparently jehovah created the "word" or "logos" ( jesus).

  and he never created anything else according to bible scripture.. however the first born of creation the logos /jesus was used to create everything else in the material world.. so then isn`t jesus also a creator ?.

  Update letter? It looks more like a "We're struggling to keep on schedule because so many of you J.W.'s with needed trade skills have woken up to our real estate scam and are refusing to contribute your expertise for free" letter!

  Those who live in the ivory towers of the WTBTS are far removed from the reality of life - that people usually have to work to get money to pay for life's necessities. Others choose to become parasites, rather than provide for themselves.
